A college student's stomach in a small town has a mind of its own.
I'm Katrina. College student. Senior. Foodie.
Who am I?
I'm from Spanish Fork, Utah. Small town girl. When I left that town there wasn't even a Walmart there yet. While I don't have much experience traveling to exotic places and trying out local food, I have become a food connoisseur when it comes to small town options. Everyone's diet deserves some variety regardless of where they're located.
Why Restaurant Food?
The one consistent part of my life that offered me a voice.
Growing up I had a single mom. That means we ate out. I got to choose from a glorious menu what I wanted to eat each and every night. Food is a way to connect. Whether you feel bonded because you are ordering the same thing or if you bond over the conversation at lunch, food brings people together.
Why Blog?
Let's be honest. We've all dreamed of becoming well-known bloggers.
Blogging gives you an outlet to share what you know with the world. Because of my background, I happen to know a lot about the ins and outs of small-town food. Here in Cedar City, we have a lot of food options in comparison to how few people live near here. How could this be? Why do they keep opening new shops? Simply because it is a college town and students frequently grab a snack or a meal on their way to the library. I'm aware, however, that there are many good and bad choices when it comes to restaurant food in this town. That is what I'd like to share with all of you.
Keep in touch - I am looking forward to feedback!
This is new for me. While I have read thousands of blogs in my lifetime it can be hard to be original and stand out among the crowd. Ask questions! Get involved. I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions.
Yay! I've lived in Cedar City for a few years now and I've yet to visit some places so I'm excited to hear your reviews of them.
